Future hotel projects in Saarua
In the heart of Saarua village, alongside holiday homes and apartments, a plot of approximately 11,000 m2 has been zoned for an international-standard hotel with about 200–250 rooms. The plot owner, Metsähallitus, is open to discussions with parties interested in developing the site.
Various services, such as restaurants and cafes, are planned to accompany the hotel. The plans presented are preliminary sketches, and the final implementation may differ significantly.
A hotel plot zoned in such a central location is a true rarity in northern tourist destinations, ready for construction.

The smaller "Park Hotel" project in the area plan is located on a forested area next to the slope, on a plot already owned by Rukakeskus Oy. A cafe/restaurant is planned for the slope level of the hotel. Rukakeskus Oy plans to develop this plot as the final project in the area.
